What the contact form collects

If you use the contact form on our contact page, it collects the name you enter, the email address you enter, an optional subject line, and the message you write. Those details are sent to us as an email and are used for one purpose: to read your message and reply to you.

We do not add contact-form addresses to a mailing list, use them for marketing, sell them, rent them, or share them with anyone for their own purposes. There is no newsletter on this site to subscribe you to.

The form uses Microsoft 365 to deliver that email, so the message passes through Microsoft’s servers on its way to us, and the resulting email is stored in the owner’s mailbox. We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful for handling your query and any follow-up, and delete it when it is not.

Spam protection

To stop automated submissions, the form includes a hidden field that real visitors never fill in, records how long the form was open before it was submitted, and limits how many messages can be sent from one internet connection in an hour. That last check means your IP address is held briefly in memory on the server handling the request. It is not written to a database, not logged against your message, and not used for anything else.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It reports on visits in aggregate — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how people arrived. We use it to decide what to work on next, not to identify individuals, and we do not try to connect analytics data to anyone who contacts us.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and the site will work exactly the same.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server request data in order to serve pages to you. We do not operate our own database and this site stores no visitor records of its own.

Links to other sites

This hub links out to the sites in our portfolio and occasionally to outside sources. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy, not this one. Note that thefirstbuyer.com itself carries no advertising and no affiliate links.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their details through the contact form, email us and we will delete the message.

Your choices

You can ask us what correspondence we hold from you, ask for a copy of it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@thefirstbuyer.com and we will action it. Because we hold nothing beyond the emails you have sent us, these requests are simple to handle.

Changes to this policy

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it before the change takes effect. If we ever add something significant — advertising, an account system, a mailing list — it will be described here.
